MIG Welding

GMAW (gas metal arc welding), formerly known as MIG, or metal inert gas, welding, was created in WWII to help with increased production, and combines the TIG/GTAW inert gas shielding with a continuous consumable wire electrode. This process uses inert shielding gas to protect the weld from contaminants, including mixes of gases such as Argon, Helium, Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide.

S.J. Smith carries the MIG welding power sources you need, from several manufacturers, including MIG guns, nozzles, liners, tips, wire, clamps and carts, as well as protective safety equipment including helmets, welding lenses, gloves and apparel.

Call your account manager, email us, or call S.J. Smith at 563-324-5237 for more information on how to choose the best MIG welding system for you.
