Altigweld ER4047 Alloy, .047" Wire Diameter, 16 lb Wire Basket Spool, 1070 F to 1080 F Melting Range
Alloy 4047 was originally developed as a brazing alloy to take advantage of its low melting point and narrow freezing range. In addition, it has a higher Silicon content than 4043, which provides an increased fluidity and reduces shrinkage. The alloy produces bright and almost smut-free welds. Hot cracking is significantly reduced when using 4047 as a filler alloy. The alloy is available in both solid wire and rods. It may be used in applications of sustained elevated temperatures.Typical Applications: Welding Filler Wire Spray and Flame Metallizing WireGeneral Information: Trade designation: ALMIGWELD and ALTIGWELD Non-Heat treatable Similar to AlSi12 (Germany), BS N21 (United Kingdom) ISO designation: AlSi12 Principle alloying elements: Silicon Applicable specifications: ANSI/AWS A5.10 (ER & R), AMS 4190Welding Approvals: Canadian Welding BureauChemistry: Silicon: 11.0 - 13.0 Iron: 0.8 Copper: 0.30 Manganese: 0.15 Magnesium: 0.10 Zinc: 0.20 Beryllium: 0.0003 Others: Each (0.05), Total (0.15) Aluminum: Remaining
